Alpaca 2015 Photography Competition


Calling all budding photographers. Submit your best, cutest, funniest, most unusual or most picturesque photos into this year’s photo competition. The competition is being judged by our special celebrity judge Te Radar. Radar is well known as a supporter of rural New Zealand and we know he has a wicked sense of humour.

Let’s show Radar how wonderful alpacas can be. There are 1st to 3rd placings in each class and the overall winning photo will be awarded a fantastic digital camera as a prize. What have you got to loose? Join the fun. Entry forms and submission forms are available on the website.

  • Entries must be printed and delivered to: PO Box 87, Pukekohe, Auckland 2340
  • Closing date for submitting entries SEPTEMBER 1st 2015
  • Photo Size to be no larger than 25cm x 30cm but can be smaller.
  • Photos can be on matte or glossy paper.
  • Photos may be colour or black & white.
  • Entries may be mounted onto card  paper or similar lightweight artboard with total size not to be larger than 25cm x 30cm.
  • Entries may not be framed or contain glass.
  • Entries must be collected after the closing of the show on Sunday 20 September 2015 or a return courier ticket must be included with entry.
  • Name of person and class number must be on back of photo.
  • There is no limit to the number of entries an individual can submit.
  • Competition is open to members and non-members.
  • The photographs must have been taken by the exhibitors who must also be the legal copyright owner.
  • It is the entrant’s responsibility to obtain appropriate written permission from people or owners of property/alpacas that are depicted in their entry.
  • Exhibits must not have any identifying features such as stud or farm name, exhibitor name or logo.
  • Entries close 1st September 2015

AANZ shall be entitled without payment of any fee to the entrants, to use or display any image entered in this competition.

FAILURE TO OBSERVE RULES. The organising committee may at their discretion disqualify any image for failure to comply with these rules.

DISPUTES. Any dispute concerning the interpretation of these rules or the organization of the competition may be referred to the Organising committee whose decision shall be final and binding.
